Join us for a slow, nourishing winter gathering focused on caring for skin when it needs it most.
February can be hard on bodies as much as spirits—cold air, dry heat, and long stretches indoors all take their toll. This workshop is an invitation to step inside, warm your hands, and work with plants in a way that feels grounding, cozy, and deeply practical.
In this hands-on Make & Take workshop, you’ll learn how to create a rich, herbal body butter using thoughtfully chosen plant oils and butters, all pre-infused with organic, farm-grown herbs selected for their skin-soothing and restorative qualities. We’ll talk through what those plants offer, why I’ve chosen the oils and butters I have for this particular formulation, and how to adjust oils/butters and herbs to meet your own skin’s ever-changing needs.
We’ll blend, customize, whip and pour our own jars of body butter—designed especially for dry winter skin—while also learning how to adapt the recipe into a lighter version better suited for warmer months. Each participant will also take home a calendula seedling to grow through the cooler season (yes, calendula loves cool weather!), so you can eventually infuse one of our star herbal ingredients yourself at home.
The workshop formulation is intentionally gentle and inclusive:
- Free of all top allergens and gluten
- No artificial fragrance or ingredients of any kind
- Essential oils are entirely optional; participants may leave their body butter unscented
You’ll head home with:
- A finished jar of herbal body butter made by you
- A printed, take-home guide covering the recipe, techniques, tips, and background knowledge shared in class
- A clear understanding of how to create and customize nourishing herbal body butters at home, with confidence
Whether you’re new to working with plant-based body care or looking to deepen your understanding of safe and effective formulation, this workshop offers a supportive, low-pressure way to learn, ask questions, and leave with something truly useful.
Great for dry winter skin, tired hands, and anyone craving a little warmth and care in the quiet of the season.
