โจ A day at the Garden Haven and Farm โcreative, screen-free, and grounded in nature.
This isnโt a shuttle-in, air-conditioned, tight-schedule kind of camp. Itโs a day for kids to slow down, get their hands dirty, make something beautiful, and feel good in their bodies and imaginations.
Weโll start our day under the big white oaks by setting our intentions together: the kids will help come up with shared group agreements (we bring a few non-negotiables for safety, but the rest is up to them). Then we head into the woodsโto notice, to wander, and to see what the woods are offering that day for the kids nature art projects.
~
๐ป What the day includes:
โข A morning walk through the woods to gather natural treasuresโpetals, pods, bark, or whatever calls to them
ย ย ย ย Each camper gets a take-home cotton treasure-gathering bag to collect their findsโthey can decorate it with fabric markers and nature stamps at the craft station if theyโd like!
โข A guided canvas art project using pressed flowers and leaves weโve grown here, plus anything they found along the way
โข Hands-in-the-dirt time in the budding fairy and gnome garden, planting herbs and flowers in a space prepared just for them
โข Unstructured, screen-free outdoor time: crafting, card games, active play, reading, decorating and planting their own little plant pot to take home (complete with their handmade fairy/gnome lantern tag), and beanbags under the trees
โข Sprinkler play to cool off and cut loose (weather permittingโbe sure to pack suits, towels, and dry clothes)
โข Quiet rest hourโreading, napping, drawing, or just relaxing in the shade

๐ชต Our values:
Agency: Kids co-create the day. We provide a safe, thoughtful container and supplies โthey fill it with their ideas and energy.
Nature connection: Not just time outdoorsโtime in relationship with a living place.
Creative freedom: Unique art, natural materials, no cookie-cutter projects.
Respect for rhythms: Room for movement, room for stillness. No pressure to perform.
Inclusivity: We welcome every child and work with families to ensure a safe, joyful experience.
